Whether you are a sportsman looking for excellent fishing and hunting, snowmobilers or bicyclers in search of great trails, or just a family looking for a quiet get away, Whispering Pines has what you need.  We are located on Thunder Lake in the midst of the beautiful Hiawatha National Forest.

All our cabins are on the lake front and have boats provided. Cabins 1 – 4 are 2 bedroom cabins while Cabin 5 is a 2-1/2 bedroom large cabin with TV, fireplace, and a wooden deck. All cabins have kitchens equipped with dishes, pots, pans, utensils, toaster, coffee pot, etc. Bed linens are included but you must bring your own towels. Cabin rentals include use of the fish cleaning house, picnic area, fire pit, barbecue, horseshoe pit, and a boat.

Canoe rental and delivery to nearby rivers and lakes is also available.

Thunder Lake Store is nearby for supplies, bait and licenses.

DIRECTIONS TO WHISPERING PINES
From East of Manistique:
Travel West on Hwy. 2
Turn North onto M-149 in Thompson
Continue on M-149 (West) as it meets Hwy. 442
Stay on Hwy. 442 when M-149 splits North
Take a Right (North) on Hwy. 437 "Thunder Lake Road" *There is a small sign for "Whispering Pines" on the corner
Go 11 miles - Pass Thunder Lake Store
Turn Left at "Whispering Pines" sign and follow to the end of the road.

From West of Manistique:
Travel East on Hwy. 2
Turn North onto Hwy. 442 in Cooks
Continue on Hwy. 442 as it turns East
Take a Left (North) on Hwy. 437 "Thunder Lake Road" *There is a small sign for "Whispering Pines" on the corner
Go 11 miles - Pass Thunder Lake Store
Turn Left at "Whispering Pines" sign and follow to the end of the road.
